Our Villa
RISE is held at a gated, historical villa, built on a 30,000-acre estate in the early 19th century. On the property are two cottages, the main country house, secluded gardens, a swimming pool, and a beautiful natural landscape. The villa stands on the ancient border between the Etruscan world and the city of Rome, adjacent to the river Tiber. It is in this area that the Etruscans created a powerful empire and an important civilization in central Italy during the first millennium BC. The villa was once the site of an exclusive club, the “Convivium Romanum,” where well known artists met to eat, drink, paint and talk about art. RISE’s villa used to represent the pinnacle of “la dolce vita,” hosting many “strategic polo brunches.” The villa’s guests have included England’s Prince Phillip and the future Queen Elizabeth, film star Gregory Peck, and the beloved Italian film-maker Federico Fellini. The villa comfortably sleeps all RISE participants.
